Our Friends Place is excited to participate in North Texas Giving Day 2019! We love that North Texas Giving Day inspires individuals to be philanthropists for our region. With your help last year, funds from North Texas Giving Day covered annual costs of our Transitional Living Centers for young women who have experienced abuse, neglect, poverty, and homelessness.

With a $35,000 Matching challenge from The Kaleta A. Doolin Foundation, our Board of Directors, Advisory Council and Friends, our goal for 2019 was to raise $35,000 to cover the costs for case management, mentoring, and critical life skills for 24 young women to prevent them from becoming homeless.

This year, we are excited to share that 215 wonderful friends helped us meet our Matching challenge… and kept going to raise $43,395 in one day!

With Matching funds from The Kaleta A. Doolin Foundation, our Board of Directors, Advisory Council and Friends, our tally comes to…

$78,395!

Thanks to our many generous friends, Our Friends Place is able to help more than double the young women we thought possible.

We hope you will connect with us online to see just how your donation will change the lives of young women forever.

North Texas Giving Day 2018

We have many generous and wonderful Friends during North Texas Giving Day and you all are truly amazing! In honor of OFP’s 30th anniversary our goal was to raise $30,000 to cover the cost of maintaining one of our Transitional Living Centers as a safe, stable home for our young residents. It’s really exciting to share the overall tally raised was over $53,000!

Thanks to the almost 200 donors, Our Friends Place can continue to grow the number of young women served through the TLC and SOAR to Success program. Because of this support, more young women will have the opportunity to thrive, not just survive! These funds help OFP make a difference:

  • Over 14,000 hours of case management

  • 40 young women in the Transitional Living Center program

  • 350 youth (and more) served by the SOAR outreach program

  • 39 life skills that teach empowerment, not entitlement

The Dallas Women’s Foundation also awarded Our Friends Place a $3,500 bonus prize for having the most donors as a Women/Girl Focused medium nonprofit!

Thank you for helping us shatter our North Texas Giving Day goal and funding programs vital to helping our young women soar to success!

Be a Friend. Change a Life.
